You can prepare for the theory and hazard perception tests while learning to drive, and your instructor can help you find the best app to pass the theory. These are separate tests but taken together, with the theory first and hazard perception after. The theory test has 50 multiple-choice questions, is computer-based, and you answer by touching the screen or clicking the mouse. You have 40 minutes to finish and need 43 correct answers to pass. The hazard perception test starts about three minutes after the theory test and involves 14 one-minute video clips, each with one or more developing hazards. You respond by clicking the mouse as soon as you spot a hazard. There are 15 scorable hazards in total, and the quicker your response, the higher your score. Out of 75 possible points, you need at least 44 to pass.
