Driving instructor training

Over 1.5 million people typically take driving lessons and sit the driving test each year, but since the Covid-19 pandemic, this number has increased significantly, creating a high demand for new driving instructors in your area.

Teaching people to drive is a rewarding and skilled profession, and we’re on the lookout for the right candidates to train as driving instructors. We have openings for trainee instructors, and fully qualified instructors are also welcome to apply.

Once you pass parts one and two of the Trainee Driving Instructor Tests, you can apply for a trainee instructor’s badge and start earning while you train. You’ll be in demand around the clock, with a steady flow of students ranging from 17-year-olds to mature learners.

Qualifications needed.

To become a Trainee Driving Instructor, no prior experience is required. The only qualifications are having a full driving licence for at least three years and being over 21 years old.
