Feedback from your instructor
How will you know when you are ready to book your
test?
You will be ready for the test when you have reached the standard set out by the DVSA through your 1st choice driving instructor.
Your instructor will inform you when you are ready to book your practical test (you have 3 working days to cancel it if you feel your making too many faults on your driving lessons)
You will know you are ready when you are driving consistently well, with confidence and without help or guidance from your driving instructor.
Saving money
Waiting until you are ready will in the end save you money.
Your instructor will carry out mock tests using the same sat nav used on your driving test
and also verbal instruction to provide you with a true reflection of your driving readiness for the test
Your instructor can arrange for another instructor from 1st
Choice driving school to take the mock test as this will be a realistic simulation of the actual practical test.
On your test day
At the start of your test you will be asked to read in good daylight (with the aid of glasses or contact lenses if worn) a registration mark fixed to a motor vehicle with letters and figures 79.4 millimetres high at a distance of 20.5 metres (20 metres for a new style number plate).
If you fail the eyesight test, you will be unable to take the practical
test and your licence will be taken off you by the examiner.
Show me Tell me questions
Once you have read the number plate you then be asked a show me question (a safety check) about your vehicle
Then on your driving test your examiner will ask you a Tell me question
All this information is on the 1st choice show me tell me link below.
